An Atlanta native, Eddie Ray Porter grows up listening to Dylan. It's in San Francisco, via NYC, that he starts his singer/songwriter career, at the beginning of the 80's. Also influenced by Television, B. Springsteen & Van Morrison, his music is successively dark, passionate and bright... E. R. Porter (like his friend Steve Wynn from the Dream Syndicate) is one of the beautiful losers of Eighties' American songwriting.
Eddie Ray Porter recorded three albums for New Rose records. "When the Morning Falls" in 1987 (lp only) produced by Chuck Prophet (Green On Red), "Dance On The Earth" in 1988 followed by "Letter To Mary" in 1991. He also appears with the song "Wishing"on "Everyday Is a Holly Day" , the New Rose tribute to Buddy Holly.

ULTRACUERPOS - The Right Way

ULTRACUERPOS The Right Way cd 2003
Stupid Kind / The Right Way / Can't Stop The Pain / I'm Going Out Of My Head / Sometimes Living Is Hard / Saturday Night / The Death Road / Sister Anne / Plan 9 From Outer Space / They Make A Rebel Of Me / Meadows Of Your Mind / My Baby Onn My Magazine / Stupid Kind (version single).
Produced by J. Martinez (Ultracuerpos).
Ultracuerpos:
K. The Jams: guitar, backing vocals / O. Caramés: drums, backing vocals / A. Dorda: vocals, maracas / R. Ramon: guitar, backing vocals / M. C. Mikelini Martinez: bass, backing vocals.
Imagine Elvis, Fred Sonic Smith, Keith Moon, Phil Lynnott and Carl Perkins jamming in hells' kitchen. Visualizing such a great ball of fire could give you an idea of the sound that Ultracuerpos have tried to achieve, and surprisingly enough they pull it off. Forget about 'high energy' labels that usually get imposed on new guitar bands. Of course Ultracuerpos give out high energy, but this comes out in the same way that the guitars of Link Wray, Ron Asheton or Duane Eddy, the throat of Otis Redding, Mitch Ryder or the records of Booket T & The MG´s did. It's raw and primitive energy that has nothing to do with a bunch of tattooed bands with four riffs and loads of mascara that we are being sold these days. Ultracuerpos are not here to save the world, but they are true to themselves and are able to create true rock and roll, upholding the attitude of Jerry Lee and Iggy with their live performances. Formed two years ago by ex members of Spain's finest rock and roll bands, Ultracuerpos are the future and the future is here now! Listen to their album "The Right Way" (El Beasto Rds./GP Rds.) and try not to miss them live. It doesn't even matter if you don't like rock and roll, Ultracuerpos are a pure energy explosion!!! Source
Source: Dig It! 34

H. Solvang: backing vocals on°.
"In 1998 Andersson, together with former band mate Dregen, Ginger (from The Wildhearts) and Thomas Skogsberg formed Supershit 666, the bands music was very reminiscent of the early Hellacopters sound. The band released a self-titled EP in 1999 but never played live. However Dregen and Ginger have both expressed interest in playing together again, possibly as Supershit 666. After releasing "By the Grace of God", Andersson was invited to join Wayne Kramer and the remaining members of the MC5 for their reunion tour in 2003 and 2004. In 2004 Andersson joined up with Swedish punk veteran Johan Johansson from KSMB and Strindbergs. They released the singel (Komma ut ur matchen) NU!. A Swedish version of (Gotta get som action) NOW! They were joined by musicians such as Anders "Boba" Lindström and Dregen from Hellacopters and Sulo from Diamond Dogs. The single also contained the song 8 PM, an English version of the KSMB song Klockan 8..."

"...Along with fellow Hellacopter member Robert Dahlqvist, Andersson recorded drums and guitars for Swedish singer/songwriter Stefan Sundströms 2004 album Hjärtats melodi. Apart from being a producer/co-producer with his own bands, Andersson produced Swedish rock band Dollhouse's second album "The Royal Rendez-vous" in Acetone Studio, Stockholm in late 2005. Also at Acetone Studio he played on Neil Leyton's "The Betrayal of the Self" album along with Backyard Babies's guitarist Dregen..."

"The next year he produced the Backyard Babies fifth studio album "People Like People Like People Like Us". In 2009, it has been announced that Andersson and Neil Leyton have a side-project called The Point, with a 7" single titled "Give it a try" due to be released in the spring of 2010..." Source
