Daniel Jeanrenaud , "The Rock'n'Roll Tsar" aka Daniel the Kingsnake , the son of a preacher man was born in Marseille (Tennessee). Now living in London, his reputation as a great rock'n'roller is growing. Over the last two years Daniel's regular appearances at The Marathon, opposite The Roundhouse have become almost legendary.
attracting distinguished fans like Robert Plant, Amy Winehouse and Oasis among others. While Paul Weller, The White Stripes, Jose Feliciano and Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads) have all jammed on a song or two with him.Chris Wilson from The Flamin' Groovies and Chas Smash from Madness regularly appeared with Daniel at The Marathon. Daniel played Ronnie Scotts and been a regular at the 12 Bar Club. When The Mean Fiddler closed its doors, he was among the chosen few invited to play its final night. In 2008, Daniel also supported My Bloody Valentine at The Roundhouse and The Fratellis at Somerset House.
During the eighties he moved from France To San Francisco and formed The Kingsnakes with some ex-members of The Flamin’ Groovies. Rolling Stone magazine picked them as one of the Best Bay Area Bands of the time and leading French magazine Rock ‘n’ Folk called them "The best rock ‘n’ roll band in the world".

Daniel’s favourite guitar, a 1951 Gibson ES 300 has been called Nadine ever since Chuck Berry borrowed it one night at Bill Graham’s Old Waldorf in downtown San Francisco. Sly Stone even wanted Daniel to join his band following a crazy late night jam session.
Returning to France in the early nineties, a new line-up of The Kingsnakes was formed with Manu Chao (who later went on to form Mano Negra). The last show for The Kingsnakes took place at The Olympia in Paris with Screaming Jay Hawkins. The Kingsnakes released four (five ?) albums for New Rose, EMI and Rock’n’Roll House and toured extensively in America, Canada, Europe and South America.
During his career, Daniel has played his version of rock’n’roll in juke joints, open-air festivals, underground stations, weddings, restaurants, art galleries, women’s jails, raves, under bridges, primary schools, hospitals and jet-set parties. The Rock n Roll Tsar, Daniel Jeanrenaud plays music everywhere and when he does, it R.O.C.K.S. ! Source

LOS HORRENDOS - El Agujero Negro de Los Horrendos

LOS HORRENDOS El Agujero Negro de Los Horrendos cd 2010
Te Olvidaste De Vivir / La Vida Bohemia / Esto No Está Bien / Sábado A La Noche / Sabemos / Corazón De Monstruo / El Mundo Ya No Va A Cambiar / En La Ciudad / Stroszek / Como Si Fuera Una Feria / No Es Lo Que Decís / Inviernos / Islas Negras / En Lugar De Vos Llegaron Tus Fantasmas / No Han Sido Llevados Por El Viento.

Source
From Bahia Blanca , Argentina, here's the third album of Los Horrendos !!! Enjoy it !!!

BLACK MOSES - Royal Stink

BLACK MOSES Royal Stink cd 2004
Can't Breathe (Turkey Neck) / Better Believe / So Good / Stevie / Lose Control / Thru You/ Royal Stink / She Got Da Moves / Baj (Oh Yeah).
Produced by G. Flynn & J. Jones.
Black Moses: J. Jones: vox, guitar, harp / G. Flynn: vox, bass / D. Axford: drums.
Between Thee Hypnotics and the Jim Jones Revue, here are the Black Moses !!!
“Black Moses' second album "Royal Stink" is a wonderful example of how a band that understands rawness, performance and songwriting can eclipse other similar minds with much greater budgets. Royal Stink was tracked live in the back of a pub fer chrissakes! That's keeping it real! Black Moses are able to sound raw yet well recorded, assuring that they will never have to hear the words "overproduced and slick" as a description of their music. All we know is that when the vocals howl, the guitars wail, the bass thumps, and the drums kick like they do both on stage and on Royal Stink, for us that is a magical combination, and we think you, too will agree when we say that Black Moses is a band that will restore your faith in Rock N' Roll... the real kind. Amen and Hallefuckinlujah.”
“This is garage rock that captures all the rawness and filth of classic Stooges and MC5 and makes it sound as fresh and exciting as it would have done thirty years ago, unlike the sanitised sound displayed by a lot of today’s wannabe garage revivalists. The record bursts into action with the balls-out rock assault of “Can’t Breathe (Turkey Neck)”, which drags you in with dirty bass, wailing guitars and pummelling drums. You will then find it impossible to escape the clutches of this record until the final note of last track “Baj (Oh Yeah)”. Every track is an absolute belter, making it very hard to single out individual tracks for praise ....”
"To put it in short, Black Moses have on this record created a glam rock monster that kicks and screams like a baby with a temper. It has restored my faith in rock'n'roll, and hopefully it wont be long before the population are once again collective believers, because Black Moses are simply so rock'n'roll that they demand even Mick Jagger to raise one of his heavily dosed eyebrows."
